NATIONAL MARRIAGE WEEK - BLESSING FOR MARRIED COUPLES

Lord God and Creator, we bless and praise Your Holy Name. In the beginning You made man and woman, so that they might enter a communion of life and love. You consecrated brides and grooms in their sacred union in Holy Matrimony so that they might more fully reflect the union of Christ with His Church. Look with kindness on the spouses of our community, O Holy One. In their struggles, let them rejoice that You are near to help them. In their needs, let them know that You are there to rescue them. And, in their joys, let them see that You are the Source and Completion of every happiness. Renew their marriage covenant, increase Your love in and for them, and strengthen their bond of peace. May they - surrounded by their grateful family and friends - always rejoice in Your blessing. We ask for this grace, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. AMEN.
