Confirmation Program Information

Welcome to the Natick Catholic Community Confirmation information page. Our mission is to create a thriving parish community where young Catholics can personally encounter Jesus, fully engage with their faith and joyously bring the love of Christ into the world.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

NCC’s Confirmation preparation is a two-year program where we explore the fundamental truths of our Catholic faith, prepare to follow Christ, and share in the joyful participation of the Eucharist at Mass together.

The Confirmation 1 program focuses on deepening each candidate's understanding of the Catholic faith and the Sacrament of Confirmation and Confirmation 2 helps reveal God’s unique plan for each candidate as they prepare for lifelong discipleship. 

FORMAT 

Confirmation 1 & 2 candidates meet one Sunday afternoon/month at St. Linus Church from 4-6 PM which includes attending the 5 PM Mass together. Families are highly encouraged to join us at Mass.

CURRICULUM

Our Confirmation 1 curriculum utilizes Alpha’s Youth Series with Catholic Context to encounter Jesus while our Confirmation 2 utilizes Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation to provide a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, address and answer fundamental questions about life, and challenge candidates to personally commit to following Christ. 

CONFIRMATION 3-YEAR TRANSITION PLAN

In 2024, the Archdiocese of Boston lowered the age for the Sacrament of Confirmation to 8th grade. You can learn more about the decision here.

Over the next several years, NCC will implement the new change and confer the Sacrament of Confirmation to our first 8th graders in the spring of 2027. Please refer to the timeline below and register for the appropriate Confirmation preparation session online.
