FEBRUARY 11 WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE SICK

To honor Our Lady of Lourdes, we ask our Mother of Mercy, to assist all those who struggle with their health, with pain, weakness, and sufferings. We ask Our Blessed Lady to pray for medical workers, and all those caregivers who generously support our sisters and brothers in need of help. We humbly ask our Blessed Mother to sustain our faith and strengthen our hope; and to help us persevere in our care for one another, with the love that Christ offers to all God's people. O Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, who prays for us, now and at the hour of our death, you constantly shine the light of faith on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick and Comfort of the Afflicted, who at the cross, united with Jesus' pain, kept your faith firm. Blessed Mother, you know what we need, and we trust that your prayers for us will provide for our needs, so that - as at Cana in Galilee - joy and celebration may return after this time of trial. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father's Holy Will, and to do what Jesus tells us; Your Son, our Brother and Savior, took our sufferings upon Himself. He burdened Himself with our sorrows to bring us, through the cross, to the joy of resurrection. We make this prayer, trusting forever in the Precious Name of Jesus our Lord. AMEN.
